Strep In Children Someone I Know Has A Group B Strep Infection. Can My Children Get The Disease By Being Around This Person?

Someone I know has a Group B Strep infection. Can my children get the disease by being around this person? - strep in children

not just important.

that people do not group B streptococci Quarantine
not pursue, life partners, or sexual contact with persons with GBS infection.
Contact your relatives or not ...

and rightly so - the mere presence of the organism in the skin means nothing if you are pregnant. You must understand that most people who carry this organism on their skin, which causes no disease at all. The disease occurs only when you are in your body.

All people with diabetes, this germ in the skin. It means nothing.

You should have no problem, all their children - who may have contact with this other person unliimited.

You must not worry about any worries about "catching" GBS for you to "catch up" --- E. coli, since both are normal flora of the human body - everything we have. Just take care of "trying to GBS or E. coli caused when a disease state.

The question of GBS during pregnancy is an entirely different subject than I, and# 039; LL allow another thread (:-)

Usually caused by bacteria, can not get the child if they are physically touching the wound is still a child. If a child is involved, there is little or no chance that it will.

can not get their children in Group B by another person. The big risk with the group B is a pregnant woman in labor. potentially infected neonates.
